By using and ordering on our website you agree to the following terms

Here at www.emergencylightingbatteries.com we specialise in batteries, we sell batteries and battery accessories, we also manufacture and assemble battery packs, to the public and trade.

A range of our batteries are now available to buy online, an even greater range is available in our shop, if you cannot see the battery you require online please contact us.

Shopping online
Just browse our shop and click on the “add to cart” button and the item will be added to your order, on the shopping cart page you can easily remove and change the quantity of the items.
The contents of your Shopping Cart can be viewed at any time by clicking the “View Cart” towards the top of the screen.
The methods you can pay by are :
- Payment by Visa, Master Card, Solo, Maestro, Switch using our online payment service.
- Or you can “Call us with Payment Details” – If you do not wish to pay online, we can take your payment details over the phone.
- If the item you ordered is not in stock or is no longer available, you will be contacted with the expected delivery date or option to cancel.

Delivery Requirements

Please examine all goods upon receipt, any shortages, breakages or damage to items delivered must be notified in writing within 3 days of receipt of goods.
Postcode - we must have a valid postcode - our couriers are unable to deliver without one.
Signature - We must have a signature for all deliveries - goods cannot be delivered without one - we can deliver to a neighbour, friend or any other address you choose but any signature obtained at the address given (including sites) will be treated as proof of delivery and discharge us of contract / liability.
Carrier unable to obtain signature - If nobody is in at time of delivery the carrier may leave a card inviting you to arrange an alternative delivery date or collection by you from their depot. After 2 delivery attempts (to the same address) we reserve the right to impose subsequent delivery charges. 

Refused Parcel Delivery - In the event that a delivery is refused at the delivery location the parcel will incur a charge of £9.75 + VAT return cost per consignment, this is charged because The Battery Shop and our courier have for filled our contract and the courier charges this as the cost of returning refused consignments to The Battery Shop.

Refused Pallet - In the event that a delivery is refused at the delivery location the pallet will incur a charge, this charge varies from delivery zones, postcode and service. This is charged because The Battery Shop and our courier have for filled our contract and the courier charges this as the cost of returning refused consignments to The Battery Shop.

Rearranged and reattempted parcel or pallet deliveries - these may incur a charge imposed by our couriers, the cost of which will vary for each delivery service used.

All Next Working Day Deliveries are not guaranteed and do not include weekends, national bank holidays,
please note our cut off time is 2PM orders placed after this time will be processed on the next working day.
Please allow up to 10 working days for any delivery.
 

Time of dispatch shall not be the essence of the sale. Any times and or dates quoted for dispatch shall be treated as estimates only and do not involve any contractual obligation.

Lost or undelivered goods must be reported to us within 14 days of purchase, after this period we can not be held responsible for any loss.

We reserve the right to charge any additional charges incurred from our courier due to customer inputting incorrect delivery information provided on orders,.

Non acceptance of deliveries will incur additional re-delivery charges from our courier which will be debited to your chosen payment method.

Warranty
Please contact us before sending or returning any product.
All Warranties must be sent back to 'Emergency Lighting Batteries, Orbit Centre, Ashworth Road, Swindon, SN5 7YG'
Any warranty given will cover manufacturing faults.
Warranties are made void if the battery has failed due to misuse such as: it has been used on the incorrect application, physically damaged, damaged due to being over-discharged, damage due to being over-charged or charged incorrectly.
All Warranties are down to the discretion of management.

Business to Business Sales
All online and telephone orders that require an invoice stating a business name and address will be treated as a business to business sale and are therefore not covered by the
Consumer Contracts (formerly distance selling) regulations.

Liability
The Company's liability shall be limited to repairing or replacing Goods or at the Companies option, refunding monies already paid in respect of the goods. Any reasonable cost of returning the goods will be refunded but this must be agreed by the company prior to returning the goods. This will only apply if the said goods are found to be faulty due to manufacturing faults.

Conditions of sale and use of Nickel Cadmium (Ni-CD) batteries and battery packs

Nickel Cadmium (Ni-CD) Batteries and Battery packs supplied on this invoice are supplied on the understanding that they will be used in conformity with the DEFRA & Environmental Agency regulations. All Batteries & Battery Pack descriptions printed starting TBS are supplied / made for industrial use only

More importantly, we promise you a fair and decent service with a few reasonable conditions:
Unwanted items must be returned in saleable condition and complete unopened original packaging for a full refund. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
